My Community Involvement My Family My Interests My musical tastes include bluegrass, folk, celtic, international, rock/pop, and classical. KUNI night music keeps my alternative tendencies alive, and the Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center satisfies my itch for big-city performers. Growing up near the mountains, I developed a love for the outdoors. Luckily, the Cedar Valley keeps me involved in biking, hiking, skiing, kayaking, and gardening. The bike trails are second to none, the local rivers and lakes provide ample opportunity for getting on the water, and my vegetables thrive every summer in the rich Iowa soil. The most recent addition to my portfolio of outdoor adventures is scuba diving. Coral reef, anyone? My travels have taken me across the United States, into Canada, Mexico and Belize, and overseas to England and Spain.
